Geocaching

I went geocaching today in the cottonwoods. A geocache is a box with stuff in it that you use your GPS to find it. I found a purple rubber worm in the box.

I was also looking for owl pellets, which are owl’s poop, but I did not find any. I saw the Willamette River. I also saw Canada Geese. Canada Geese are birds and they peck around fields for food. I also saw squirrels. I have a squirrel in my backyard that is named “Fatty”. I had fun. I thought I was going to see lizards, but I didn’t see any.

Afterwards I went to a coffee shop named Driftwood Coffee. I had a muffin.

If you want to find out more about geocaching check out: http://www.geocaching.com/
For really good muffins and coffee, go down to Driftwood Coffee at 4604 SW Vermont. Kara is the owner and she’s really nice.

  1. Hi Owen!
Thanks for posting on your blog - it sure has been a while! Did you ever found an owl pellet? Have you ever taken one apart to see what is what they are made of? It's the coolest - one of my favorite activities for sure. I hope you get to try it someday. Then you might discover what a pellet is. Hint: it's not poop!
